Pop artist Gwen Stefani, who is 53 years old, has achieved more than she ever could have imagined in her career. She has established such a strong presence in the entertainment world over the course of her career that she is now recognized by almost everyone. In addition to her three Grammy Awards, Stefani has been honored with two Billboard Music Awards, an American Music Award, a Brit Award, a World Music Award, and two World Music Awards.
She got her start in the music industry as the main singer of the band No Doubt, which achieved success with songs such as “Just a Girl” and “It’s My Life.” Her first solo album, titled “Love. Angel. Music. Baby,” was released in 2004, marking the beginning of her solo career. The album was a massive blockbuster, and it included the hit track “Hollaback Girl,” which went on to become the first digital download in the United States to sell one million copies. The record also topped the Billboard charts.
Ever since then, Stefani’s pace has not slowed down at all. Since the release of her debut album with No Doubt, she has consistently produced music that has reached the top of the charts. She is perhaps most recognized for her work as a coach on NBC’s “The Voice,” in addition to her accomplishments in the music business.
Throughout her career, Stefani has often been in the news because to both her music and her appearances on the red carpet. Her romantic life has been making news as of late, which is why she’s been in the spotlight.
After going through a contentious divorce in 2015, Stefani had serious doubts about her ability to ever find true love again. She had no idea that her love story was only getting started, and everyone was watching as she courageously discovered love again. What she didn’t realize was that her love journey was just starting. Soon after she ended her marriage, she met Blake Shelton, who is a renowned country musician and also co-hosts “The Voice.” They soon fell in love with one another.
It is not a mystery that Stefani’s romantic relationships serve as sources of inspiration for her songs since her romantic life has been public knowledge for decades. Gavin Rossdale, the main vocalist and guitarist for the band Bush, was her first boyfriend when she was well known for her personal life in the public light.
When No Doubt served as Bush’s opening act during a Christmas concert in 1995, they became acquainted with one another. The month of September 2002 marked the couple’s wedding. They were married for a total of 13 years, and during that time they had three children: Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo. In February of 2015, as allegations began to circulate about the couple’s relationship, everything began to change for the pair. The claims centered on the couple being unfaithful to one another.
Entertainment publications from coast to coast ran articles about an alleged romance that former President George W. Bush had with the couple’s nanny, Mindy Mann, who was 20 years old. Fans of Stefani’s were thrown into a state of bewilderment and uncertainty as a result of the many reports that were going around about the specifics of the affair. The fact that Stefani had an affair was verified by Stefani herself, and soon after the news surfaced, she was shown weeping on an episode of The Voice.
During an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Stefani discussed the affair, describing the period of her life during which it occurred as “her own personal hell.” “If there was a beginning to hell, it was it,” Stefani remarked. “Trying to find out this huge secret was like putting yourself through six, seven, or eight months of misery.”
In August of 2015, Stefani submitted her divorce petition. She utilized the experience of being hurt emotionally to inspire her subsequent album, titled “This Is What the Truth Feels Like.” Additionally, she resumed shooting on The Voice, the show on which she had first met co-star Blake Shelton the previous year. She would soon learn that as she was coping with this public issue, Shelton was struggling with his own personal tragedy at the same time.
During the same conversation with Harper’s Bazaar, Gwen Stefani said that in July of 2015, Blake Shelton surprised him and the other co-hosts of The Voice by bringing them together before a show to share some unexpected news. He informed them that he would have finalized the divorce by the time the show was broadcast.
Shelton was married to Miranda Lambert, a country music singer and songwriter, during this time period. It had been four years since the couple had tied the knot. Shelton’s separation from his wife also made headlines, and his private life was placed on display for everyone to see, much as Stefani’s relationship did.
Both Stefani and Shelton found comfort in the fact that they had experienced something similar, and Stefani expressed gratitude to Shelton for giving her hope. “It went from horrific to optimistic to like, ‘Wow, God, you just don’t know what’s going to happen next,” Stefani recalled. “You just don’t know what’s going to happen next.”
Soon after that, the two friends turned their friendship into a romantic relationship that was like something out of a fairy tale. The whole world watched as their relationship developed. Soon after starting to collaborate musically, the pair began giving performances as a duet not long after they started creating songs together.
During the month of October in the year 2020, Stefani made the announcement of their engagement through an Instagram post in which she displayed her ring. In July of 2021, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony that took place on Shelton’s property in Oklahoma. Page Six reports that Shelton arranged for a modest white chapel to be constructed on the site in preparation for the wedding.
Despite the fact that both members of the couple had been hurt in the past, they were able to find love in one another and are now more content than before. Shelton laid bare his thoughts on Stefani in an interview he gave to Billboard not long after the couple began dating.
Shelton said, “The next thing I know, I wake up and she’s all I care about, and I’m wondering whether she feels the same way about me.”
“Gwen saved my life.”
Shelton said, shortly after the couple tied the knot, that he would be putting his career in country music on hold in order to devote more time to his family, which would include Stefani’s three kids.
The multiple-award winning country artist discussed his new life with his wife in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in August 2022. The interview took place in 2022. Although the spouse liked his profession as a musician, he admitted that there were other things in his life that were more important to him than work.
“Listen, I have a passion for music, and I like ‘The Voice.’ “I enjoy all the great things I get to do with my career, but at this point in my life, Gwen and the kids take precedence over anything else, and it’s just a different period of my life,” Shelton added. He said that another one of his good fortunes was having a record label that gives him the freedom to work at his own speed and in his own creative time.
While everything is going on, Stefani is experiencing her own kind of happily ever after with the musically talented spouse she married. She recently said to Drew Barrymore on her talk program that she never dreamed she would find love again after her divorce.
The singer recalled thinking at the time, “Like I’m never going to kiss someone.” “I’m going to get up every day, I’m going to have a coffee, I’m going to take care of my kids, and then I’m going to go to bed,” she said. “I believed that it was the end of my life, but then Blake Shelton was like, ‘Hey. I’m Blake Shelton.’”
She told her that Shelton was more than simply a spouse, and she believed her.
“The desire is to find a best friend, someone who is on the same level as you when it comes to morality or simply the way you look at life,” and “We believe the same about things, but we’re so different.” I’m putting on my makeup while he’s doing his thing, which includes watching football and doing other things that he does. We are quite different from one another, yet in many ways, we are very similar.
